Math 126 Section A - Autumn 1997

CHANGE OF GRADE PROTOCOL

In order to return your exams quickly, they must be graded quickly. Thus, although we try to be perfect, we are not. This means that grading errors are guaranteed to occur. We apologize for this. To correct these errors, please write a short paragraph describing of each error. Of course, the description should indicate the problem number and the part of the problem on which the error occured. In addition, please check to see that we added up your scores correctly. Return your descriptions of the errors along with your exam to your TA for regrading. However, once an exam has been submitted for regrading, we are free to regrade the entire exam, not just the problems that you have requested that we reconsider.

The deadline for submitting an exam for a regrade is Wednesday, December 3 by 3:00pm.

WARNING Those exams marked with the word photocopy at the top of the front page of the exam have been photocopied. In addition, a number of other (unmarked) exams have also been photocopied so that approximately 20% of all exams have been photocopied. If a student submits an exam for regrading based on computations that appear on the resubmitted exam which do not appear on the photocopied exam, then that student will receive a grade of 0.0 for the course (not just the exam). Please take this warning very seriously. I will not hesitate to fail a student who attempts to cheat in this way.
