Tutors Wanted
ATAC Tutoring

Established education firm, located in the University District, seeks experienced tutors with strong interpersonal skills. We are hiring tutors to start this summer and continue through June 2011. We are looking for tutors who have academic breadth and are able to tutor across disciplines in the following areas:

Advanced Math & Science Tutors - Requires tutoring or teaching experience in the following subject areas:

  • Math through calculus & physics for rigorous high school college prep (chemistry is a plus)
  • Ability to tutor Spanish for middle school & high school is a plus but not required
  • Ability to teach study skills and test prep for math and science classes
  • SAT test prep is a plus but not required

Writing/Study Skills Tutors - Requires tutoring or teaching experience in the following subject areas:

  • Writing development
  • Reading comprehension
  • Study skills, time management and test prep
  • Organizational support for homework management
  • Basic skills, including middle school math
  • Spanish, basic through advanced (AP and/or college level) for rigorous high school college prep is a plus
  • SAT test prep is a plus but not required
  • Ability to tutor college-bound students with diagnosed learning differences and/or ADHD is a preferred

Requirements:
  4-year degree, preference for Master's or graduate students
  Two or more years of professional tutoring or teaching experience
  Excellent communication skills and creative learning strategies
  Flexible daytime and evening hours M-F, weekend availability is a plus but not required
