It is my hope that in two quarters, I can cover Chapters 1-7 and a part of Chapter 8. Since the book is very logically arranged, I will just follow each chapter in sequence. I expect the students to be familiar with some set theory and metric spaces. If one feels shaky about them, (s)he can review it in Chapter 0 (prologue) or see me.
