Math 573B: Knot Invariants

This course will cover the following topics:
  1. Basic facts of knots.
  2. The Jones polynomial.
  3. Vassiliev invariants and Kontsevich's theorem.
  4. Connections with other subjects (briefly).
Prerequisites: The first-year graduate algebra courses and some topology courses are recommended.
