Math 583H
Advanced Algebraic Geometry I: Schemes.

Sándor Kovács

Spring 2006, Monday/Thursday, 2:30--4:00

This is intended as a ``hands-on'' course, with a lot of interaction between the students and the instructor. A central element of the course is solving problems and discussing their solutions.

Topics to be covered (time permitting): Sheaves, schemes, divisors, separated, proper, and projective morphsim.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of algebraic geometry on the level of 507, or a good command of the material covered in Chapter I of GTM 52, or instructor's permission.
