The University of Washington has a number of departments involved with the mathematical sciences and related fields. The Math Department maintains strong ties with all of these other departments, including a number of interdisciplinary research projects. With approval from the Graduate Program Coordinator, graduate students in Mathematics can take courses from any of these departments for graduate credit, and can invite faculty members from these departments to serve on their PhD or Master's supervisory committees.
