I will present the results in Plamen Stefanov and Gunther Uhlmann, "Optical Tomography in Two Dimensions" [Methods. Appl. Anal. 10 (2003) no.1]. In the article it is shown that the singular decomposition of the albedo operator utilized earlier by Stefanov and Choulli in dimensions three and higher can be refined to solve the inverse problem of stationary radiative transfer also in dimension two. Also a stability result for the inverse problem is given in this paper.
