Discussion of the paper by Rakesh and W.W. Symes: "Uniqueness for an inverse problem for the wave equation" (Comm. in PDE, 13(1), 87-96 (1998))

The paper considers the wave equation with a potential and considers the inverse problem of determining the potential from the corresponding Neumann-to-Dirichlet map. I will discuss the proof of the uniqueness of the reconstruction of the potential from the Neumann-to-Dirichlet map using geometrical optics solutions.
