In this talk I will discuss the phenomenon of time reversal for waves and its basic property of auto-focusing on source or scatterers, which has many applications in imaging, communication, and target detection. Comparision of time reversal method with some classical inverse problem approaches will be discussed. I will then present some recent progress of time reversal related methods in imaging.
