What he does:
- Chris is a master's student in the Master's in Teaching program at the University of Washington, pursuing a career path to teach secondary mathematics.
Chris' background:
- Chris has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, teacher preparation option, from the University of Washington. He graduated in Summer, 2006.
- Chris says math just made sense to him, so he started to like it, and the more he liked it, the more it made sense. Now he can honestly say that he loves it, and still looks forward to gaining a deeper understanding of it.
- Take as many math courses as you possibly can. It makes every other course easier, and the concepts and analytical thinking skills that you learn are knowledge that is useful in every subject and everything else that you do.
- If you can't figure out how to use your math skills, consider teaching them to others so that others might understand and appreciate math as much as you do.
