Sharon's background:
- Sharon received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, from the University of Washington, Spring 2005.
- She says she has enjoyed math all her life. It was also the one thing she was always good at. She thought she might become a math teacher, but decided halfway through college that is wasn't the right path. She still wanted to major in math, and hopes one day to go back to school and study computer programming or accounting.
Math on the job:
- Examples of how she uses math on the job are the daily money transactions. Math is always part of her job.
Advice for students:
- Her advice for students is that it is an awesome subject to learn and know well, so stick with it! Her only other advice would be to acquire a background in another subject, such as computer science or geography. This might make finding a job easier.
