What she does:
- Erin is a law student at WSU. She also works at the library. She runs a study group for first year law students.
Erin's background:
- Erin received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, from the University of Washington, Spring 2007.
- Erin uses the logic learned from math to analyze legal problems and do legal analysis. Similar to the logic required to figure out math proofs, she uses logic to determine what laws apply and how they apply.
- Her family has a background in accounting and teaching. She thinks that really helped her find her way into mathematics. Her mother's accounting skillsmotivated Erin to have a love for numbers. Both her parents abilities to teach have pushed her to become a great tutor and mentor for the study groups she leads.
Advice for students:
- Her advice for students is to find what you are most interested in and pursue it to the best of your abilities. Make the best of what you are good at. Working and studying in a field that is unrelated to what you enjoy can only make your life miserable.
