Many of the required courses in the ACMS Program are in heavy demand. This Satisfactory Progress Policy has been developed to ensure that the available resources are effectively used to serve all students.
Students are expected to obtain a minimum grade of 2.0 in courses required for the major. Normally a course may be taken at most two times to satisfy this requirement. Students are also expected to maintain a GPA of at least 2.5 in these courses. These expectations are consistent with the Graduation Requirements for the ACMS Program.
Students' records are examined at the conclusion of each quarter to ensure that these criteria are satisfied. Students who are not making satisfactory progress will be placed on probation for the following quarter.
Students who are on probation for two consecutive quarters or for three quarters cumulatively may be dismissed from the major.
Students may also be dismissed from the major for academic misconduct, as defined by the Student Conduct Code.
