Analysis of Calving Seismicity of Taylor Glacier, Antarctica

Josh Carmichael

UW Geophysics Graduate Student

An overview of calving of dry-land glaciers and some seismic theory will be given. Emphasis will be placed on the displacement field from a point dislocation and the resulting seismogram in simply layered media. Finally, some simple methods of data analysis will be discussed, including cross-correlation of multiplet waveforms, and polarization analysis.
