Probabilistic weather forecasting using Bayesian model averaging

Abstract: I will discuss the motivations for using probabilist forecasts in place of purely deterministic forecasts. Methodology for developing these forecasts will be discussed, and we will also look at issues in displaying and communicating probabilistic forecasts.
