Inverse Problems and Partial Differential Equations

Introduction

The Research Training Group in Inverse Problems (IP) and Partial Differential Equations (PDE) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Washington offers an integrated program aimed at enhancing the educational experience of participating undergraduates, graduate students, and recent Ph.D.'s through research-related activities in IPDE. Highlights include:

• Three week summer school for advanced undergraduate and beginning graduate students.
• Academic and industrial internship program for UW graduate students.
• Academic visitors.
• Integration with the long-running REU program on inverse problems at UW.
• Undergraduate research.
• Seminars in inverse problems and PDE.
