Here is an explanation of how your grade is calculated: Think of the course as a total of 100 points.

Homework	10	YOUR HOMEWORK PERCENTAGE	=YOUR HOMEWORK SCORE

Exam 2	26	YOUR EXAM 2 PERCENTAGE	=YOUR EXAM 2 SCORE
Final Exam	36	YOUR FINAL EXAM PERCENTAGE	=YOUR FINAL EXAM SCORE
TOTAL	100		YOUR TOTAL OUT OF 100

YOUR COURSE PERCENTAGE = YOUR TOTAL

This is the percentage that I look for on the grade scale to give you your grade.

PARTICIPATIONIf you missed one or two participation days, you still received full participation credit. Missing more than this, will lose you points in increments of 0.5.

HOMEWORKFor your final homework score, we eliminate the lowest scores.

YOUR HOMEWORK PERCENTAGE = (HIGHEST 6 HOMEWORK SCORES) / 90 * 100 PERCENT

EXAMThe first and second exams are each weighted as 26 points (see your syllabus).

YOUR EXAM PERCENTAGE = (YOUR EXAM SCORE) / 50 * 100 PERCENT

FINAL EXAMThe final exam is weighted at 36 points (see your syllabus).

YOUR FINAL EXAM PERCENTAGE = (YOUR EXAM SCORE) / 70 * 100 PERCENT
