Homework Schedule for Math 125 E - Fall 2009
The information on this page is subject to change. Changes will be announced in lecture or quiz section. Homework is due at the beginning of lecture on the specified days.
GRADING
I will randomly select 3 problems to be graded. Each of these will be scored out of 3. The grader will also give a completeness/presentation score out of 6 points. The total out of 15 will be given. I have done my best to make these assignments manageable while at the same time making sure that the problems help convey and teach the basic concepts of the course. It is vital that you take the homework seriously.
POLICIES
Sloppy, hard to follow, or incomplete homework is unacceptable and you will be marked down severely. A correct answer with no explanation or supporting work is worth zero points. Even if you can do a problem in your head, I want you to give some sort of explanation or justification for what you did.

Parts 1 through 4 of the Week 3 Homework Problems To shorten the assignment slightly, you are not required to hand in 6.1/29, 33, 6.2/45, or 6.3/28 (these are not difficult, but they require adding up lots of small calculations which takes some time). You are expected to read these problems and make sure you understand how to do them before the exam. |
