Old announcements are listed below, in order of [date] originally posted on the course homepage.

[1/6] Be sure to work on the review problems on the First Worksheet before going to quiz section on Tuesday, 1/8.
[1/6] If you miss the first lecture, be sure to read everything posted at the Introduction to the course.
[1/6] First homework due on W 1/16: TN HW #1, #2, and #3. Change as of 1/14: HW #2, problem 4 parts (d)-(f) are optional: good practice, but OK to skip if they get too confusing.

[1/11] Tuesday, 1/15: Be sure to bring Worksheet 2 to class. (You don't have to work on this one before class.)
[1/11] First quiz Thursday 1/17 on TN sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 (HW #1, #2, and #3). No notes: Be sure you know the formulas for the coefficients in the Taylor polynomials and series, and know Taylor's Inequality and how to use it.
[1/16] Change in Ian's office hours: Tu 6-7 in his office, Tu 7-8 in the MSC (a switch which hour is where).

[1/30] Final exam information. Note exam is on Saturday, 3/15, and the Feb. 8 deadline for petitions to take the exam on a different date.

[2/6] Midterm on Wednesday, 2/13. No homework collected that day, but you should do the homework for the previous lectures to prepare for test. More information on the Midterm.
[2/7] Office hours and other help on Tuesday, Feb. 12:
Usual office hours in MSC: JMA 2-3, CW 4-6, IL 7-8 (and in his office 6-7).
If there are lots of questions in her 2-3 session, Prof. Arms will stay after 3 and/or return 6-7. (Contact her in advance if you would like to be sure to see her at one of these times.)
CLUE (link below) is doing a Math 126 review session 8-10pm, in MGH 389.
[2/14] Be sure to bring Worksheet 5 to section on 2/19.
[2/14] 5th homework due on Friday 2/22 (because of midterm and holiday; due dates return to Wednesdays the next week): Problems listed on schedule for sections 10.3, 13.2, 13.3, and 13.4. (I was only going to ask for the last two sections, but the performance on the midterm suggests many of you need to revisit the earlier sections.)

Note that the "Late course drop period" ends this Sunday, 2/24.
[2/22] 6th homework due on Wednesday 2/27: Problems listed on schedule for sections 14.1 and 14.3.
[2/22] Quiz Thursday 2/28 on 14.1, 14.3 (correction!), and 14.4.
[2/27] Worksheet on Tuesday, 3/4 will be problems #53 in 14.7 and #6 in 15.1 (not the worksheet on the 126 materials website).
[2/27] 7th Homework due on Wednesday 3/5: Problems listed on schedule for sections 14.4, 14.7*, 15.1*, & 15.2.
*You may omit #53 in 14.7 and #6 in 15.1. These will be used as a worksheet on Tuesday, 3/4.
