List of corrections to text; please report any others you spot.
The textbook (in two editions) and two other books are on reserve for Math 326 at Odegaard Closed Reserve. If you want a different presentation of some idea in the course, try the other reserved books.
Course content:
The theory behind the definitions and calculations in Math 324, chapters 5 through 9 and a bit of chapter 15: elementary topology, partial diffentiation, the implicit and inverse function theorems, and change of variables for multiple integration; also the Lagrange multiplier technique for finding constrained extrema.
The level of rigor will be higher than in the prerequisite courses, but not at the level of 327/8. Proof of general theorems will be presented in class; students will be expected to do calculations and proofs about examples (not proofs of general results).

See Undergrad Math FAQS. Note information on getting up-to-the-minute enrollment info.
Overloads, if any, will be given after the third class, and only to students who have attended the first three classes and have a compelling reason for special consideration.
