The C8 complex of offices is in the subbasement of Padelford:
go down the C-Wing stairs as far as you can go, or take the C-Wing elevator to
the lowest floor, keep turning right and go through the loading dock.

JMA: M 4-5, Tu 2-3:30 and by appointment in PDL C338.
Often available after class until 3:30, and after Tu office hour.
YC: MW 10:30-11:20 and by appointment in PDL C8B.

Text: Topology, by James R. Munkres. We will study chapters 1, 2, and 3, and possibly selected additional topics as time permits. Here is an Errata list for Munkres (from the author).
Test dates:
Midterm will be on Wednesday, 10/29 in class.
Final exam Thursday 12/11, 8:30-10:20. The date and time of the final
exam are assigned by the university and cannot be changed.
There may be a take-home component of either or both of these exams.
Course grades will be based homework, the midterm, and the final, in the proportion of 30%-30%-40%, with possible consideration of any improving performance trend through the quarter.
