"Seminar on Stochastic Processes 2003" will be held at the University of Washington, Seattle, from March 27-29, 2003.

The conference is co-sponsored by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.

This annual series of seminars was created in 1981 by K.L. Chung, E. Çinlar, and R.K. Getoor to provide a forum for exchange of ideas at the frontiers of probability. The primary goal is to provide an overview of recent significant and exciting research results and to enable participants to discuss their work in an informal atmosphere.

In keeping with the usual format of these seminars, there will be five invited plenary talks scheduled in the mornings. The afternoons of Thursday and Friday and one hour of the morning of Saturday will be kept open for informal sessions. These are sessions organized by the participants in order to discuss their work in an informal atmosphere. There will be no advance schedule for the informal sessions, and the participants are expected not to use transparencies or give prepared talks.
