It is possible that an error will be made in the grading of a midterm exam. If you feel that an error has been made, you may submit a petition in writing for a re-grade. The petition must identify the problem, or problems, that the students wishes to have re-graded. In addition, the student must state why they believe the problem was graded incorrectly and why their solution is correct (or, at least worthy of more points). But please keep in mind, 25% of all midterm exams have been photocopied. If it is discovered that a petition for re-grade is based on an altered exam, the student will receive a grade of zero on the midterm and the exam will be submitted the University Academic Affair Committee for disciplinary action. Students are given one week from the day on which the midterm exam is returned to them to submit their petitions for re-grade.
