I have a link with a Final from another instructor. This is the final we are working in groups tomorrow. I recommend you bring a copy of it to class. We will go over some of it as a class. Practice Final
I am not telling that the test will be like that, not that long. But I think it is a good source for reviewing. Remember that our final will be based on what we covered in class and HW and the style will be more similar to those of the quizzes but more complete. It will also be cumulative and you can bring a two-sided sheet of notes (8 1/2 x 11 letter size paper) and a scientific calculator (NOT graphic).

There are no posted any solutions for this final. If you have any particular doubts on any of the problems you are working on, you can ask me, and I can tell you if what you are doing is correct.

Make sure to review from the notes, worksheets, HWs and the book. Doing some problems from the book and reviewing the results and what results imply what other results is important.

This is the take home quiz. Please read the instructions carefully. You cannot discuss with anyone about the quiz. It is due next Monday May 23, 2011. As a consequence there will be no homework due for next week. I posted recommended HW problems for this week. The quiz consists on two documents. The first one is a list of applications you should read and study. The second document consist on the problems you need to answer regarding the applications on the first document.

Midterm will cover up until subspaces. Until Friday's lecture and the conclusion of Friday's Lecture that we had today.

I change the two-sided index card of hand written notes, to two-sided handwritten sheet of notes.

I will send an update with the classroom for the review session as soon as I hear back. It will be Wednesday at 4:00pm.

I posted HW 5 which is due next week, that way you can do the problems regarding subspaces as a practice for the midterm.

MIDTERM is this Friday April 29, 2011 during class.
I asked for a classroom for a review session for Wednesday April, 27, 2011. More about this later.

During the review session I will be answering questions from you guys. So come prepare with things you have doubts on or problems you want me to go over.

I made a Review List of the topics that will come in the midterm. The list is not at all exhaustive of all that I've cover so make sure to look at the book and the class notes in order to get a full review.

Please look at this Review List before the review session and let me know any questions or doubts about them.

For the midterm you are only allowed to bring:

a two-sided handwritten sheet of notes

a scientific (NOT graphic) calculator

Here is a review sheet for the midterm. I wrote this review a previous quarter when the test was actually a week later so it may have more material that the one needed to know for the test. The material covered for the test will depend on how far we get on Monday's lecture.
