- Elementary Differential Equations and BVP (9th edition, 8th OK), by Boyce and DiPrima
- If you are using the 8th edition, check this
list of differences between the 2 editions regularly
(thanks to Hart Smith for the list).
- Homework
- The homework will be usually collected on Wednesdays.
- Homework should be neat and easy to understand.
- You should show all the work in order to get a full score.
- Unstapled homework solutions will not be accepted.
- The weekly homework will be posted in the Homework
section of the class website.
- Quizzes
- There will be THREE quizzes during the quarter. The first two will be in class and the last one will be a take-home quiz. The specific dates of the quizzes can be found in the class Calendar.
- Exams
- There will be midterm and a final exam.
Midterm: Friday, July 22, during lecture time at 1:10pm-2:10pm

Final: will be divided in TWO parts
Part I: Wednesday, Aug 17, 2011, 1:10-2:10 pm, SIG 230
Part II: Friday, Aug 19, 2011,1:10-2:10 pm, SIG 230
There are NO MAKE-UP EXAMS. If you have a compelling,
unavoidable, and well-documented reason for missing a test,
you should speak with the instructor as soon as possible.
