Here is
an archive with midterms and finals from previous quarters by several professors. I recommend that you
start looking at some of the midterms and start taking them timing yourself for 50 mins.
Recall that the midterm is Wednesday, Feb 8, 2012 (next week during class).
It will cover the material given in lecture up until and including section 3.2
I will offer extra office hours next week Tuesday at 1:30pm.
You are allowed to bring a two-sided handwritten sheet of notes (8 1/2 x 11).
Scientific, NOT graphic, calculator.

- Due to the snow conditions of last week, HW 2 is postponed to be due by Monday Jan 23, 2012
- HW 3 will be due Friday January 27 and it has been modified to cover less material.
- QUIZ 2 is still Wednesday and it will cover all the material so far up until 2.3 (including 2.3).
- Since HWs have been shifted to be due on Friday's, from now on my office hours will be Monday and Wednesday instead of Monday and Friday.
- Just for this week I will give additional office hours Tuesday 1:30-2:20pm.
- Here is a nice direction field handout created by another MATH 307 instructor Joshua Tokle.
- Due to the snow days the calenday has been modified. As a consequence the Review Lecture for the Midterm has been canceled. I am okay doing a review session the Monday before the Midterm later in the afternoon (outside lecture time).

- There will be a quiz the FIRST Monday of Lecture Jan 9, 2012.
- It will be a review quiz. It will cover derivatives, integration techniques, partial fractions etc.
- You can review for the quiz with exercises from any Calculus book, you should also do the following
review Review. Provided by Gautam Sisodia.
- The first homework is already posted it is due next Wednesday Jan 11.

- Here is an link to an applet for plotting direction fields.
- Feel free to use it for your homework, these field take a lot of time to draw by hand.
- If you use the apple, print the applet drawing and the code you entered for it.
- In any case, make sure you know how to draw a direction field by hand.
