Assignment 4
Assignment 4 is now due Wednesday, February 13. The midterm, which covers up through Assignment 4, will also have to be postponed. The possibilities are February 15 or February 20. (February 18 is a holiday.) If the test is February 20, it will not cover any more new material; however, the course will continue to move forward. The consensus seems to be that February 20 is preferable; anyone with serious objections to this should talk to me on Monday. I also need to talk to those people in the mathematical modeling competition who haven't spoken to me yet.

Assignment 6
I will be out of town during the last week of classes. Although I expect to have access to e-mail, you should try to see me next week---the week of March 3---if you have any course questions. There will be a substitute lecturer on March 10 and 12; the take-home final will be distributed on the 12th and will be due March 20. (I will also try to post it here.) There will be no class on March 14.
