  • 3/19 If you would like to pick up your final, please come to my office during spring quarter (starting 3/26). Please check this website before you do in case the pick-up instructions have changed. Have a great spring break!
  • 3/19 Solutions to the final exam
  • 3/10 Just to reiterate: You may use one two-sided 8.5 inch by 11 inch hand written sheet of notes.
  • 3/7 Also, not to be misguided by the sample exams, your final will be COMPREHENSIVE, and may be LONGER than the ones posted. The sample exams I posted are hour long exams, not 1 hr 50 minute long exams.
  • 3/7 You will be allowed one 8.5 in by 11 in two sided sheet of notes for the final. Use the note sheet wisely.
  • 3/7 If you are in Section A, your final exam is on Wednesday, March 14 from 8:30 am to 10:20 am in Smith 211 (the same classroom).
  • 3/7 If you are in Section E, your final exam is on Monday, March 12 from 2:30 pm to 4:20 pm in Bagley 261 (the same classroom).
  • 3/6 For additional review, go over old quizzes, midterms, and homework. Also, I suggest looking at the conceptual exercises at the end of each chapter.

  • 1/5 When doing Gauss-Jordan Elimiation on a homework assignment, quiz, or exam, be sure to indicate which elementary row operations you are applying at each step! Ri <-> Rj means these rows are being interchanged, Ri+aRj means row i is being replaced with Ri+aRj, bRi (b must be nonzero) means row i is being replaced with bRi.
