Text: James Munkres, Topology, Second edition, Prentice Hall, 2000
Topics: Review of set theory, metric spaces, topological spaces, continuity, convergence, subspaces, product spaces, quotient spaces, connectedness, compactness, homotopy, and the fundamental group. (Most of Chapters 1-3 and 9 of the textbook.)
Prerequisite: At a minimum, either 2.0 in MATH 328 or 2.0 in MATH 335.Grades of 3.0 or higher would be more realistic.
