Iterated fibration structures and scattering on higher rank symmetric spaces
The first part of this talk will involve a description
of some new developments in the theory of elliptic operators on a class
of stratified spaces. This class includes compactifications of some symmetric
spaces of rank 2 or higher and their perturbations. This will lead to some
very preliminary results, joint with A. Vasy, concerning the behaviour
of the resolvent of the Laplacian on these spaces.
