Super-rigidity and fixed point theorem
Margulis' Archimedean super-rigidity for lattices in p-adic groups
is equivalent to a fixed point theorem for isometric actions on symmetric
spaces of noncompact type. In this talk, I shall discuss generalizations
to other discrete group actions on NPC spaces.
