Date: Fri, 6 Feb 1998 08:10:53 -0800 From: Hugo Rossi <rossi@msri.org> Dear Colleagues, Although Northern California is in the throes of the worst El Nino can dish out, it has been decided (after a certain amount of discussion, to be sure) to go ahead with the Berkeley meeting of the Pacific Northwest Geometry seminar tomorrow, February 7. Earlier this week the rain was so heavy that ground traffic in the Bay area was virtually nonexistent (because of it Stanford had to close), and at first the weather reports were that we were in for more of the same this weekend. At present however, we are getting more wind than rain, and the predictions have mollified some. Indeed air schedules show no delays as of yet. So, come to Berkeley as planned; and let's hope for the best. Regards, Hugo Rossi Deputy Director, MSRI 1000 Centennial Drive Berkeley CA 94720 Phone 510-643-6056 Fax 510-642-8609
