Math Circle at the University of Washington

Alex is a 4th year undergraduate at the University of Washington studying Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school Alex attended a Math Circle at the Northwest Academy of Sciences. He has studied mathematics at several locations, including Stanford University, St. Petersburg State University in Russia, the University of Washington, and Harvard University. Alex was also a chess coach at Chess4Life for two years and led several chess clubs at elementary schools on the Eastside. After graduating, he intends to pursue graduate school in theoretical physics.

Interests and Hobbies: Math, phyiscs, chemistry, programming, computer hardware, electrical engineering, swimming, and biking.

Fun Facts:

• Mildly spicy food makes his mouth catch fire.
