Grading: |
Your grade will be based on homework and worksheets (10%), two midterms (20% each), and a final (50%). In case you must miss a midterm, I would very much appreciate ADVANCE NOTICE so that other arrangements can be made to take it. In all tests you may use two letter-sized pages (one sheet front and back of notes in your own handwriting). |
Incompletes and Drops: |
The grade of Incomplete will be given ONLY if a student has been doing satisfactory work until the end of the quarter and then misses the final exam for a documented illness, religious reason, or family emergency. |

The department website (http://www.math.washington.edu/~m124) gives a detailed week-by-week outline of the course. Below you will find which homework problems will be graded each week. You are also expected to do worksheets in TA section every Tuesday (except for the midterm days). Make sure to ask questions whenever there is anything you do not understand! |
