Mathematics Minor

Core Requirement (21-25 credits)

Math 124, 125, 126 Calculus (15 credits) or Math 144, 145, 146 Calculus for the Biological Sciences and Math 126 (20 credits)

Math 307 Differential Equations, Math 308 Matrix Linear Algebra or Math 318 Linear Algebra (6);

OR

Math 134, 135, 136 Accelerated (Honors) Calculus (25) (includes 10 credits for advanced placement)

Electives (12 credits)

8-12 credits of mathematics courses numbered 300 or higher.

A minimum grade of 2.0 required in each course offered as part of the minor. Although at least nine credits at the 300 level must be completed in residence at the University of Washington to satisfy the Mathematics Department requirements, you must also complete at least 15 credits in residence at the University of Washington to satisfy the College of Arts and Sciences requirement.
