Primary Teaching Endorsement; Secondary School

If you already have a teaching endorsement from the State of Washington and are interested in adding a mathematics endorsement, the Department of Mathematics recommends the following curriculum:
    Geometry (Euclidean and non-Euclidean) -- Math 444,445 - Geometry for Teachers (3, 3), and accompanying computer lab Math 487 (1, 1)
    Probability and Statistics -- Math 394, and either Stat 311, Math/Stat 390 or QSCI 381 (7-8)
    Calculus (integral and differential) -- Math 124, 125, 126 (5, 5, 5)
    Discrete Mathematics -- Math 308 and 411, 412(9)
    Logic and Problem Solving -- Math 354, 355 or Phys 407, 408, 409 (10 - 15)
    History of Math or Foundations of Math -- Math 420 or Math 310 or Math 411, 412 (3-6)

Total Credits -- 52 - 58

As a general rule, mathematics courses are primarily offered during the day. We have a very limited offering of evening courses. The math courses for teachers, 444/445, 411/412, are also offered during Summer Quarter.
