months' service; 12-month faculty are paid for 11 months service over a 12
month period, with one month available for vacation use. Faculty at the
University of Washington do not receive vacation
Nine-month faculty with summer funding for more than 2.5
months must complete the form here.
This form indicates that the faculty member acknowledges and willingly provides full-time effort for 3 months
and foregoes time off. The intent is that a faculty member doesn't have
to give up time off in the summer unless wanting to do so.
