Mailboxes for the instructor and TA are located in Padelford C-120/C-130 (the Math Lounge).
The Math Study Center (MSC) is located in CMU B-014.

Everyone who is registered for the class is automatically subscribed to the list with their u.washington account. Course Info

• The Math 126 Materials Website is where to find the Taylor Notes that we will be using in lecture. There are also exams from previous quarters which may be useful in studying for the midterm and final. However, the departmental syllabus for Math 126 has changed recently, so some of the old material you find here may not be indicative of what we will cover this summer.

• 8/22/05: Grades have been submitted and should appear on MyUW later this week. I have posted solutions to the final on the exam page, as well as some statistics. Send me an email if you want to pick up your exam next quarter.
• 8/19/05: We are in the process of grading the final exams. I will be posting solutions within the next few days. You can email me after Monday if you want to know your grade in the class or if you want to see your test. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
• 8/18/05: I have made some more updates to the exam page, so you might want to check it out. Also, someone noticed that there was an error in problem 2 from the review worksheet. If you want a challange, try to figure out why my original solution doesn't quite answer the question that was asked. I have updated the pdf files to explain the error.
• 8/16/05: Alan will be holding a review session tomorrow (Wednesday) from 2:30-4:30 in Smith 107. I will also have my regular office hour from 9:40-10:40 in the MSC. On Thursday I will plan to have office hours from 9:40-11:40 in the MSC and from 1:30-3:30 in Padelford C-8B.
• 8/15/05: I have updated the exam page, and will continue to do so throughout the week.
• 7/27/05: Oops! The first few problems from 13.2 posted on the homework page were not the ones I intended. I have now posted the correct problems. The correct problems should be the same as what I wrote on the board on Tuesday.
• 7/25/05: No one received full credit on the extra credit problems that were on the midterm, so I am giving you a second chance to turn them in by Monday 8/1 in lecture to receive a maximum of 2 points each added to your midterm score. See the midterm solutions for hints to get you started.
• 7/24/05: I have posted the midterm, along with solutions, on the exam page.
• 7/21/05: Solutions are now available for the review worksheet from yesterday.
• 7/21/05: Change to homework 5: Problems 36-54 in 10.2 will now be due next week instead of tomorrow. The test will not cover areas or arclengths of parametric curves. I will be posting hints and answers to the review worksheet from yesterday, so you may want to check back here later this evening.
• 7/20/05: I have created an exam page, where I will post information related to the exams. Also, I have changed my Thursday office hours because no one was showing up in the afternoon. This Thursday (7/21), I will also plan to be in my office (not the MSC) from 1:00-3:00, so you can stop by if you have questions before the test, or email me if you want to see me at a different time.
• 7/18/05: The homework for this week will be due at the beginning of quiz section on Friday, since you should finish all the problems before taking the test.
• 7/13/05: Your midterm will be on Friday, July 22. I have added some review problems to this week's homework to help you start preparing. (See the homework page for this week's assignment.)
• 7/6/05: Homework assignments will now be listed on the homework page. (Check out the new links above.)
• 7/6/05: I am moving my office hours tomorrow to 9:40-10:40 in the MSC. They will be back to the regular time next week.
• 6/28/05: Addition to Homework 2: In addition to the problems I handed out on Monday, also do the following problems from section 11.4 in Stewart (also due on Friday): 20, 21, 27, 30, 32, 37, 38.
• 6/27/05: I handed out Homework 2 today. It will be due on Friday, July 1 by 1:30pm.
• 6/23/05: You will have a quiz tomorrow in section, covering TN 1.1, 1.2, and 2.1. The best way to prepare is to do (and understand!) the homework problems. On Monday I will finish up Section 2.2 and start Section 3.1 in TN.
• 6/22/05: I am making a minor change to Homework 1: Question 11 will no longer be due this Friday. It will be included with next week's homework instead. (I modified the link below to reflect this.)
• 6/22/05: You should read Section 2.2 in TN for tomorrow's lecture.
• 6/21/05: I handed out Homework 1 today. It will be due on Friday, June 24 by 1:30pm.

• 6/20/05: I forgot to hand out the first homework assignment in class today. It's not due until Friday, but if you want to get an early start, here is a link. You should be able to do the first five problems based on what we covered today.
• 6/19/05: Heads up, you already have a homework assignment! But don't worry, it's easy. You need to download and/or print the Taylor Notes from the Math 126 Materials Website, and read through section 2.1 by Tuesday 6/21.
