Course Information and Resources

• Time and Location: MWF 9:40-10:40 in DEN 306, TTh 9:40-10:40 in CDH 101
• Course syllabus - Contains important class policies, test dates, etc.
• Lecture handouts - Print these out and bring them to each lecture with you.
• Math 112 Materials Website - Has old exams and other useful information.
• Math Study Center (MSC) - A good place to do math, located in CMU B-014. This is where we will be holding office hours.
• CLUE - Another good place to get help with math and other schoolwork, located in MGH Commons.

• 8/24/06: The grades are now posted, along with information about the grading scale I used. If anyone wants to see the second part of their final, you can stop by my office today or tomorrow; just send me an email first to make sure I'll be there.
• 8/21/06: I have updated the grade record and posted statistics for the second part of the final on the exam page.
• 8/18/06: I have posted statistics for the first part of the final on the exam page, and I have updated the grade record. If you see any mistakes, let me know ASAP. I should have part 2 of the final graded by Monday, and I'll post the final grades early next week.
• 8/16/06: I will be holding a review session today from 4-6pm in LOW 114.
• 8/14/06: This week Tophe will move his office hours from Thursday to Tuesday at 11:00-1:00 in the MSC. Also, I will be holding a review session on Wednesday from 4-6pm; I will announce the location as soon as I hear back about a room reservation.
• 8/14/06: I have posted the current scores on the grades page (see link above). You should check to make sure that we have everything recorded accurately, and bring any mistakes to the attention of me or Tophe as soon as possible.
• 8/13/06: Sorry about the late notice, but I will be doing problems from the Winter 2005 Final on Monday in case you want to print it out and follow along.
• 8/8/06: The deadline to submit a regrade request for Exam II is Friday August 11.
• 8/7/06: I have posted statistics for Exam II on the exam page, as well as some information on the final. Most of you did pretty well on the last exam, but that doesn't mean you should slack off in your studying.... Also check the homework page for this week's assignment as well as the problems for next week that will be covered on the final.
• 8/2/06: I have updated the exam page with the study guide handed out on Monday as well as a list of problems to skip when studying from the online exams.
• 7/31/06: I'm finally back on my feet and have updated the website to show the current lecture and homework status. Keep your eye on the exam page for information about Thursday's test. Because of the test, Tophe will be moving his office hours from Thursday to Tuesday this week, and will be sending an e-mail reminder about it.
• 7/19/06: Today in lecture I handed out a derivative skills practice worksheet. The answer key is here.
• 7/19/06: I handed back Exam I in lecture, and I will be posting statistics on the exam page later today. The deadline to submit a regrade request is Monday July 24. All such requests must be made in writing - ask me or Tophe if you have any questions.
• 7/10/06: Today I went over Exam I from Winter 2005 and started Exam I from Spring 2004. On Wednesday I will answer questions from Worksheets 10 and 11 and continue with the Spring 2004 and Spring 2003 Lecture B exams as time permits.
• 7/7/06: On Monday I will be going over old test problems, so you may want to print out the first few exams from the Math 112 Materials Website so that you can follow along. I'll send out an e-mail sometime this weekend to let you know exactly which tests we'll be looking at.
• 6/30/06: Next Tuesday is a holiday, but Monday July 3 is NOT. So there WILL be class on Monday. I'll be going over worksheet 9, which is pretty important, so if you miss class, it's up to you to read through the material on your own.
• 6/21/06: Two notetakers have volunteered. Thank you.
• 6/19/06: We need two volunteers to be designated notetakers for one of the students in our class. If you normally take notes anyway, this would be an easy assignment. Please contact me or contact DRS directly for more information if you are interested.
