The Final Exam took place on Saturday, Dec 8. Here are the STATS:
    • 
The median score on the Final Exam was 88/100 [top quartile ≥93, low quartile:≤81] .
    •  The grade median was 3.5 [top quartile ≥3.9, low quartile:≤3.0]. These are my highest grades, ever. Good job!

If you signed "Yes" on both midterms to post your grades (and took the final), I've posted your final exam score and course grade here.
I prefer to not discuss confidential information via email; however, if you email me about your grade, please use your @u. UW email account and include "Math 111" in the subject line.
 
If you want to pick up your final exam or you have questions about your grade, you can stop by my office at one of the following:

The first Midterm will take place this Thursday in your quiz section.
It's 50 minutes long, and it covers the Prologue, plus Worksheets 1-9. It will consist of 4-5 problems
and 4-5 pages.
An extra Review Session (optional) will be held on Wednesday, 2:40-4+, in GLD 322. Bring questions!

Homework 1 will be collected on Friday, October 5.  It's a long homework, so it's best to start it ASAP. See the "Homework" link on the left for the specific assignment and homework guidelines.
10/3 UPDATE: Assignment is changed to Prologue & Worksheets 1-3 only (WS4 will be collected next week).
From each assigned textbook section, turn in solutions to each question, including those at the end of the worksheets.
  Recall that there are spare graphs and diagrams at the end of your textbook to turn in with your homework.

To Do during the first week:

1)      Familiarize yourself with the course format and webpage.

·         Print & read the syllabus carefully and mark the exam dates

·        Read and bookmark this website. In particular, from the left sidebar links:

                                                            ii.      Look over the Calendar

             I update this space weekly with announcements and occasional lecture notes.

2)      Get the required materials (listed on the first page of the syllabus)

3)      Work through and understand thoroughly the material in the Prologue, and do all or most of Worksheets 1 and 2. Ask about anything that’s not clear.
