Even though it is not collected this week, start Worksheet 13 early, i.e. on Wed-Fri of this week (it is VERY long!)

 

Week 5 (10/20 -10/24):

No homework is collected this week. However, we're starting to use algebra and Worksheets 10-13 10-12 will be collected next week, so you should do WS 10 and 11 as soon as we cover them in order not to fall behind!

First Week:

Schedule: Wed: Lecture Intro & Prologue, Thurs: Quiz section Intro & Prologue, Friday: Worksheet 1.

To Do during the first week:

1)      Familiarize yourself with the course format and webpage.

·         Print & read the course syllabus carefully and mark the exam dates

·        Read and bookmark this website. In particular, from the left sidebar links:

                                                              i.      Read the FAQs

                                                            ii.      Look over the Schedule

2)      Get the required materials (listed on the first page of the syllabus).

3)   Print out and bring with you to lecture the Lecture Handouts.

4)      Work through and understand thoroughly the material in the Prologue, and answer all questions in the Prologue and Worksheet 1. Ask about anything that’s not clear.
