Midterm Stats: Top Quartile 42/50 , Median 39/50, Low Quartile 30/50

To estimate your grade so far:

• Let H=Your average homework percentage so far (ex: (75%+86%+82%)/3=81%)
• Let M=Your midterm percentage (ex: 35/50=70%)
• Compute your estimated percentage so far: P=H*0.4+M*0.6  (ex: P=81*0.4+70*0.6=74.4%)
  (to simulate, roughly, the homework to exam ratio at the end of quarter)
• If the quarter were over today, a rough correspondence of grade point to percentage P would be:
  

  4.0	≥92%
  3.5	85%
  3.0	77%
  2.5	70%
  2.0	65%
  1.5	60%
  1.0	55%
  0.7	≥50%

  
  The actual conversion at the end of the quarter may be different, depending on the class performance from now on.

     PLEASE NOTE:

• If you consistently got <65% so far, you are at high risk for a grade below 2.0 (NS if you're registered for S/NS grading)
• If your percentage P is below 50%, you are at high risk for a grade of 0.0 in this class.
