Recent changes in the Ultra-TeX, Lightning completion, and
LaTeX symbols packages
See the ChangeLog files in each package for slightly
more detailed lists of changes. See the file
older-changes.html for a list of
older changes.
Changes made 30 September 2005:
light: fixed it so it works (I think) with the
latest CVS versions of GNU Emacs.
Changes made May and June, 2001:
ultex: bound C-\ so that it restarts
completion, if possible.
light: added a new function:
completing-insert-ispell-word. This does lightning
completion on words, using ispell.
Changes made through 05 June 2002:
ultex: fix grabbing for read-only files.
light: fixes to make completion work better with
GNU Emacs 21.
Changes made 14 May 2001:
ultex: Several little fixes:
- added new customizable variable
ultex-subscript-delete-leading-space. When
non-nil, delete leading spaces when inserting subscripts or
superscripts, or when hitting RET to exit math mode.
- added new customizable variable
ultex-item-insert-brackets. When non-nil,
\item gets inserted rather than \item
[], when hitting \\ in an itemizing
environment.
- tried to improve placement of the point after inserting
a missing math delimiter.
- improved the behavior of the quote key ".
Changes made 9 February 2001:
light: Fix (?) for GNU Emacs 21.
Changes made 9 October 2000:
light: Worked more on fix for XEmacs; also tried
to fix some problems with the *Completions* buffer and some keymap
oddities.
Changes made 15 September 2000:
light: Made an attempt to fix a compatibility
issue with XEmacs 21.2.
Changes made 3 August 2000:
ultex: When grabbing definitions, ultra-tex will
look for inputs files in the directories in the environment
variable TEXINPUTS, not just in the current directory.
Changes made 9 August 1999:
ultex: Two little changes:
ultex-grab-bibs will now grab bibliographical
information recursively, the way ultex-grab-defs
does. Also, if the new variable
ultex-no-grab-if-space is non-nil, then Ultra-TeX
will not grab \newcommands (etc.) that do not start at the
beginning of the line. (In other words, if you have a
newcommand that you don't want Ultra-TeX to look at, just start
the line with a space or TAB.)
Changes made 29 June 1999:
Changed my e-mail address, URL.
Changes made 11 May 1999:
latex-symbols: Added lists of symbols organized by
style file: plain, latexsym,
amsfonts, amsmath, amssymb,
amsthm, stmaryrd. Added new functions
for display tables of symbols for each of these lists, and defined
a function ls-lookup-symbol, which will tell you in
which of these style files any known symbol is defined. Also
fixed a few typos.
ultex: Use new stuff from
latex-symbols. Also, changed behavior of the double
quote key " a little bit: hitting it twice inserts
", as does hitting C-u ".
Changes made 10 May 1999:
ultra-tex and light:
A few little bug fixes.
Changes made 28 April 1999:
Separated the Lightning Completion, LaTeX Symbol, and
Ultra-TeX package into three
separate pieces.
Actually, since Ultra-TeX uses the Lightning Completion package,
and since the Lightning Completion package is small,
the Ultra-TeX distribution includes it. (The Lightning Completion
package is also distributed separately, since it may be of
independent interest.)
