The theme of this two week conference will be a survey of the state of the art in the use of cohomology and support in the study of representation theory, commutative algebra, triangulated categories, and various related topics. The first week will be a preparatory summer school intended for graduate students, recent doctoral recipients, or others new to the field to introduce the fundamental ideas. Three speakers will each present a series of four lectures. The second week of the conference will consist of talks on latest develoments in the field with ample time for discussion and collaboration.

Poster Session:

There will be an opportunity for all interested participants to display a research poster during the workshop. Posters will be viewable informally on multiple days of the workshop. There will also be a scheduled formal poster session where presenters can discuss their work with other participants.

Note: There will be a banquet on the evening of August 2. The cost is $30 per person for faculty (and guests) and $20 for graduate students. On the registration form, please complete the requested information about whether or not you plan to attend the banquet. Payment may be made at the conference.

The deadline for applying for funding has now passed.


Accommodations:

Participants who are not speakers or are not receiving travel support should reserve their own rooms. Hotel rooms in the area fill quickly, so participants are encouraged to make reservations early.

Summer school participants who (apply for and) receive support will be housed (double occupancy) at the University dorms. Housing will be provided for both the summer school and subsequent workshop.

Other participants, at their own expense can also stay in the university housing through the Visiting Scholars Program.


Banquet:

There will be a banquet on the evening of August 2 at the University Club.

Cost: $30 per person for faculty (and guests) and $20 per person for graduate students.

Deadline: To reserve a spot(s) at the banquet, please complete the conference registration form by July 17, 2012 indicating the number of attendees. Payment may be made at the conference.
