Math 187:
Elementary Mathematics Computer Laboratory
(Spring 2000)

NOTE: A third section of the Math 187 lab has been reopened. This is the section which had been previously cancelled. It is Math 187ZB and meets Wednesday at 10:30.

This course is now available on STAR, I encourage you to sign up for it ASAP if you are interested.

MATH 187 is an optional one credit computer lab that goes along with MATH 126. The lab meets for one hour per week. The students do computer projects that help them to develop their visualization skills, as well as getting a better geometric feel for the concepts covered in 126. Students in previous quarters have almost uniformly said that the lab has helped them build a better understanding of the 126 material. Most students finish the labs during the scheduled class time, and the course is graded pass-no pass, so the class has a very light work load.

Space is limited so sign up today (via star)!
