Math, Mine and Others'

My main mathematical interests all fall under the general heading of algebraic topology. Bob Bruner has written a layman's-terms article describing topology in general terms. I am still looking for a nice description of algebraic topology in particular. Please let me know if you have a candidate in mind.

My thesis advisor is John Palmieri. I'm currently working on the homotopy theory of A-infinity algebras. You can read my general exam paper; please let me know if you spot any errors.

Various Links

These are mathematical links I find useful. Most of them are homepages of mathematicians, preprint servers, or compendia of mathematical information.

Screen-based Entertainment

Ever wonder what my favorite functor is? This ought to give you an idea.

Check out this great movie of one of the world's best functions, the Hopf fibration. I did not make this movie. I will add the appropriate credits when I remember where I picked it up.

Here's a picture of me getting ready for quiz section.
