Michael Gelbart

 

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Michael Gelbart attended SIMUW in 2004 and is returning this year as a special lecturer. He is currently a PhD student at Harvard University, studying data compression and machine learning. He holds an A.B. degree in physics from Princeton University, where he worked in biophysics, studying fruit fly embryo development and ameoba foraging strategies. Michael has always loved teaching and is excited to return to SIMUW and meet this year's participants!
