Course Information
- Text : Linear Algebra, by Johnson, Riess, and Arnold, 5th edition.
- Lecture : MWF 9:30-10:20, CMU 230
- Homework (15% of overall grade) (Almost) weekly homework will be
assigned, due on Fridays in class. No late homeworks will be
accepted. The grader will typically grade only 2-3 problems from each
homework assignment.
- Exams (85% of overall grade):
- Test 1 (20% of overall grade) : Monday, February 2,
- Midterm (20% of overall grade) : Friday, February 27
- Final Exam (45% of overall grade): 8:30-10:20 a.m. Wednesday,
March 18, in the usual classroom
-
Calculator and notes policy in exams:
Calculators are NOT allowed. One 8 x 11.5 sheet of handwritten notes is allowed on the midterms (one side) and on the final exam (both sides ok). In each of homework assignments, midterms and final exams you have to show all your work and support your reasoning in order to get full credit.
