Final Exam Information:
The final exam for this course will be held on Saturday, December 12,
from 5 to 8 p.m. in Kane 220. If you are unable to take the final on this
day, you must petition to take the final on an alternate date. As a rule,
other than for religious reasons no exceptions will be made to this
examination time. The deadline to petition is Friday, October 23.
Petitions are available from the Math Advising Office, PDL C-036.

- Announced 11/23/2009: Here are hints and answers for the midterm:
The median on Exam II was a 45/50. I will post current grades over the long
weekend.
- Announced 11/16/2009: Since I will only have one day to review
in lecture, here is a list of topics
that you should consider when studying for the exam. I will answer questions
in class on Wednesday.
- Announced 11/15/2009: Your second midterm will be held in quiz section
on Thursday, November 19. The exam will cover WS 10-16.
You will be allowed to use a calculator and one sheet (8.5x11 inches) of
handwritten notes. You should also bring a ruler and your photo ID to the
exam. There are links on the right-hand sidebar of this page to the
Math 111 Exam Archive (which contains 8 years' worth of old exams) and
the advice to students who want to succeed in Math 111 (which contains
detailed advice on how to prepare for and take exams).
- Announced 11/8/2009: To estimate your current grade in this course,
multiply your first midterm score by 2 (to get an approximation of your
current overall percentage in the class) and use that score and my
grading scale.
