Final Exam Information:
The final exam for this course will be held on Saturday, December 10,
from 5 to 8 p.m. in Kane 220. Students who are unable to take the exam at this time must petition to take the make-up final. Generally, petitions are granted only in the cases of religion and UW athletics. Petitions are generally denied for conflicts with work and other events. Petitions may be obtained from the Math Student Services Office, PDL B-036. Completed petitions are due no later than Friday, October 28, 2011.
Announcements:
- Announced 11/26/2011: Grades are now posted
here. (This is a secure site. You will have to enter your MyUW net ID and password to view your grade.)
You should be able to view your homework, activity, and exam scores.
You should also be able to see several Grade Predictions. Your Course Grade
after Exam II is your grade in the course right now (the grade you'd get
if I were to assign grades today). Your lowest homework and activity scores
were dropped in the computation of this grade.
The remaining grades are predictions
of how you will do in the course based on various grades on the final exam.
For example, the grade labeled "With 60% on Final Exam" is approximately
what your grade will be if your score on the final exam is 60%, and so forth. These predicted grades are only estimates and they assume that the median percentage will not change much after the final exam.
- Announced 11/21/2011: Here are hints and answers for the midterm:
I will post current grades over the long
