Announcements:
- Announced 11/30/2011 Here is a list of topics for the final exam. Obviously, this is a very general list of what you need to be able to do; the way to prepare for this exam is to practice as much as possible! Do a lot of problems: homework, midterm reviews, midterms, and old final exams.
Here are some old final exams to help you prepare.
There are more final exams posted here, but the rest do not have answers.
- Announced 11/23/2011: Here are the answers to the midterm:
- Announced 11/22/2011: The reading on Taylor Series is in
this packet of notes.
- Announced 11/15/2011: Your second midterm is Tuesday, November 22, in quiz section. The exam will cover everything we've done since the second midterm, starting with the second part of section 13.3 (unit tangent, normal, and binormal vectors and normal and oscullating planes) and ending with section 15.5 (mass and center of mass). You will
be allowed to use a scientific (NOT graphing) calculator on the exam and one
sheet (front and back) of hand-written notes. Everything on your sheet of
notes MUST BE HAND-WRITTEN: nothing computer-generated and nothing
photo-copied.
Here are some materials to help you prepare:
- a study guide
- a review sheet + answers
- a few old midterms from past quarters
You may also want to go back and do the two problems I told you to skip on the
midterms I posted below before the first exam. (Problem #4 from my Spring
2011 Exam I and Problem #3 from Dr. Conroy's Spring 2011 Exam I.)
- Announced 11/7/2011: Some pictures to go with Example 3 from lecture.

any questions about the grading.
